Embrace is a device that is designed to emulate a comforting sensation of human touch to the user. It investigates the untapped potential of a touch-starved future as a result of the digitalization of our daily interactions.

Embrace is a free-standing hugging reciprocal that is designed to be situated in the user’s home. Its simplistic design reflects the ease of use of the product. To interact with Embrace, the user steps into its arms and grips both the padded top and bottom arms. Embrace requires an optimal amount of force to achieve the squeezing motion of the arms. Once the user has completed the duration of their embrace, they can release their grip on the arms resulting in the homing mechanism pushing the arms back to their original position.
